Description

DOE survey of No's 29, 30, 32 & 33 East Street. Grade II. A good C16 building with additions circa 1700. Two storeys and attics, four dormers (central 2 gabled and 2 hipped), the roof tiled. Cellars. The upper storey projects on the whole front and is plastered in panels. At the east end of the projecting upper storey is an original carved bracket. Six window range of double hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased frames, some original. Late C17 wood modillioned eaves cornice. The ground floor has some small C19 and modern shop windows. Near the middle of upper storey is a plaster oval wreath enclosing initials and date W/RA 1692. <1>
