08/01/2021 - JN - For the wrap-around extension the rear trench revealed 600-700mm of clean top and subsoil onto orange sand with flints, no features and no finds of any date. The southern end of the side trench was the same for 4m but then the foundation will run over the line of a 1.6m-2m deep foul drain pipe run which will be diverted but would have removeed any archaeology. A short length at the front was hand excavated to find a gas pipe but again nothing.
