Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken in June 2020 during groundworks, comprising foundation trenching 11.2m long x 0.6m wide x 1.1m deep, for a new side extension. Three layers were recorded: topsoil L1 0.48-0.51m thick, subsoil L2, a yellow/orange/brown sandy-silt 0.53-0.59m thick, natural L3, orange/brown sand with frequent stones, encountered at a depth
of 1.03-1.06m below current ground level. No archaeological features or material were encountered.<1>
