Description
Two archaeological evaluation test pits, each 2 x 2m in size, were excavated in February 2020 in adavnce of the erection of side and rear extensions. Test pit 1 revealed 250mm of patio and concrete sub-base over 250mm of clean mid brown sandy subsoil over orange silty sand. Half of the test pit was reduced by 1000mm but no archaeological features were revealed. A similar profile was revealed in test pit two and no archaeological features or finds were revealed.<1>
