Description
A single trial trench, 10m long x 1.80m wide, was excavated by Colchester Archaeological Trust in January 2020. It was excavated through topsoil (L1, 0.25-0.29m thick) and subsoil (L2, c.0.13-0.17m) onto natural (L5, sand with frequent gravel). A single natural feature was investigated.<1>
