Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by John Newman in Marhc 2020 during groundworks for a new extension (c.13m of foundation trenching, 700mm wide x 800-1000mm deep). The work revealed 300mm of topsoil over 400-500mm of subsoil over orange silty sand with flints. No archaeological features were defined and the few stray finds were post 1900 in date.<1>
