Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust in November 2019 during groundworks for the erection of a new fence, each c.300mm in diameter x 500-800mm deep (three larger hand-dug post-holes were excavated in the Scheduled Monument). A small amount of Roman building material was recovered from the new fence post-holes during the monitoring. No features were uncovered.<1>
