Description
Phase 1 of the trial-trenched evaluation (the west half of the site, which is c.5.1ha. in total area) was carried out between November 2019 and March 2020. The evaluation demonstrated that the site had been extensively impacted by at least two phases of 20th-century industrial development at the site and no in situ pre-modern ground surfaces or deposits survived.<1>
The evaluation was carried out in separate phases due to the site constraints (e.g. asbestos, presence of existing buildings on the site).
An updated evaluation report was received 14/10/20 (RPS JAC25994).
