Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust during groundworks for the installation of a new artificial cricket wicket at A Ground, Abbey Field. This comprised and the reduction of an area measuring 30m x 2.7m in area x 0.12-0.15m in depth. The ground reduction occurred through only modern topsoil (L1).<1>
