Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in October 2019 during the groundworks for a new garage. An area measuring 6m x 6m was stripped to a depth of 0.4m through modern topsoil (L1) onto a sub-base (L2) which formed the base of the old, demolished garage. Groundworks did not extend below the modern made-ground and no archaeological remains were encountered.<1>
