Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in October 2019 during groundworks (foundations pads) for terraces and a ramp. The groundworks revealed a series of unfrogged brick foundations which appear to correspond with a building depicted in late 19th-century OS mapping of the area. No earlier features were encountered and excavations did not penetrate beyond modern and post-medieval layers.<1>
