Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in February 2019 during groundworks for new entrance porch, car port and garage/workshop extension (and associated soakaway). Groundworks penetrated topsoil (L1, c 0.19-0.36m thick), and subsoil (L2, c.0.29-0.37m thick) into natural (L3, dry, orange sands and gravels) encountered at a depth of c.0.51-0.66m below current ground level. No archaeological features or finds were encountered.<1>
