Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust in May 2019 during groundworks for a side extension (ground reduction, foundation trenching and soakaway). Excavations occurred through topsoil (L1, c.0.2-0.34m thick) and subsoil (L2, c.0.13-0.36m thick) onto natural (L3, light orange/brown silty-clay), encountered at a depth of c.0.41-0.52m below current ground level). No archaeological features or finds were encountered.<1>
