Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in December 2018 and January 2019 during groundworks for an extension and carport (and associated works including drainage runds and a soakaway). Groundworks penetrated topsoil (L1, c.0.18-0.32m thick) and subsoil (L2, c.0.30m thick) into natural (L3, orange sand), encountered at a depth of c.0.65m below current ground level. No archaeological features or finds were encountered.<1>
