Description

Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust between December 2018 and March 2019 during groundworks associated with the conversion of existing buildings. Most of the groundworks occurred through 1.4m of modern paving/make-up, post-medieval dark earth and medieval/post-medieval accumulation c.0.8-1.2m in depth below the ground surface. The investigation brief produced a small assemblage of Roman pottery and ceramic building material and medieval/post-medieval stone building material.<1>
