Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken in June 2018 during the groundworks for a new extension, comprising c.10.4m of foundation trenching (0.45m wide x 1.0m deep). The trenches was excavated through modern concrete crush (L1, c.0.25m thick) and subsoil (L2, c.0.25-0.3m thick) onto natural sand (L3, encountered at a depth of c.0.55m below current ground level). No archaeological remains were defined.<1>
