Description

Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Archaeological Solutions in 2005 across an area c.27,000m sq. in size. The investigation defined an undated pit F1510, which contained a large quantity of oyster shells, and a number of boundary ditches. One of the ditches, F1513 and F1515 in the SE part of the site, possibly defined an enclosure to the SE of the site. All but one of the ditches (F1515, which contained a single sherd of grog-tempered pottery dated to 100 BC - AD 100) were undated. Numerous tree hollows were also defined.<1>
