Description
The demolition and removal of houses in Vineyard Street during the summer of 1957 revealed a stretch of the Roman wall where it runs parallel to Vineyard Street. Immediately to the rear of No 19 Vineyard Street an arched opening about two feet square was revealed. The drain was partially cleared. <1>
