Description
Trial-trenched evaluation was undertaken in advance of the construction of an E to W pipeline serving an adjacent residential development site (CBC planning application 145494), itself previously investigated in 2015 and 2016 (see ECC2866). Three trenches were excavated along the route of the pipe trench, revealing overburden deposits of topsoil and subsoil overlying natural clay and gravels. No archaeological remains were present.<1>
