Description
SUMO Services (commissioned by CgMs) undertook a geophysical survey (fluxgate gradiometer) in 2017 of a 10.4ha site on the west side of Tiptree. No magnetic responses of definite archaeological interest were defined by the survey. There were a few linear anomalies and trends in the data which were difficult to interpret, lacking any shape or form which might indicate an archaeological origin. The report stateds that an agricultural or geological explanation is equally feasible.<1>
