Description
A watching brief was undertaken by Oxford Archaeology East in 2010 during the construction of an new Anglian Water pipeline in the parishes of West Bergholt, Eight Ash Green and Stanway. The monitoring was carried out during the stripping of topsoil in advance of the laying of a waterpipe between existing infrastructure at Argents Lane, Eight Ash Green, and Tollgate, Stanway (TL 95590 26620 in the north to TL 94670 24380 in the south). No archaeological features or artefacts were discovered.<1>
