Description

A programme of historic building recording (Historic England Level 2) was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust in 2017 prior to conversion (CBC planning application 160333). The small farm complex contained one, partially surviving, building (D) dating from the 17th century, which was probably contemporary with the farmhouse (MCC4597), to the southeast of the building group. This building was extended and re-roofed in the late 18th-early 19th century. A threshing barn was mid 19th century addition to the complex.<1>
