Description
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out in Lower Castle Park in March 2017 during emergency works to a high voltage power supply. Modern, post-medieval and medieval layers were recorded to a depth of 0.45-0.7m below current ground level. The whole area had been badly disturbed by modern electrical cabinets and cables.<1>
