Description
An archaeological evaluation (three test-pits, each 3.0m long x 1.8m wide) was carried out at St Mary's Upper School, 91 Lexden Road, Colchester in advance of groundworks associated with the re-organisation of the existing car parking (CBC planning applications 162104). In general, natural was defined c.900mm in depth. The only archaeological feature was a single undated pit.<1>
