Description
A field walking survey was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Group with the Young Archaeology Club on land to the east of the Thatchers' Arms (east of the railway) in September 1994. The finds are not all clearly identified but, 'most people found some pieces of Roman tile and some pieces of pottery'. Illustrated pottery includes sherds of mortarium and samian and a sherd of box flue tile.<1>
