Description
A manuscript plan in the Museum by P.G. Laver (not traced) shows a number of fragments of walls and pavements in the Union grounds (Site of St Mary's Hospital) or near them. Some may have belonged to tombs, other certainly did not. A large L shaped stretch of wall is marked on Rex Hull's 1958 map 'Outside of Town Walls' which was based on Laver's plan. It is this stretch of wall that has been plotted approximately. <1>
