Description
Event number issued to Laura Pooley 14/7/16, in advance of fieldwork (CBC planning 121272). Trial-trenched evaluation relating to this development was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in 2011 (CAT report 627, Colchester Urban Archaeological Database no. ECC2994). Archaeological investigation of the area of features defined in Evaluation Trenches 193 and 196, to the west of Mile End Road, is to be carried out prior to development, comprising a controlled strip and full excavation of archaeological features present in the area, measuring 90 x 30m (min.).
