Description

A field walking survey was undertaken by Colchester Archaeology Group in 2005. Finds were collected up to 1m each side of each 20m grid line, giving a 10% sample of the area. Finds were dominated by large quantities of peg tile (over 3600 pieces weighing over 47kg). Roman material was scarce, with only one sherd of pottery found. There were 57 medieval sherds and 109 post-medieval sherds.<1>
