Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out at 183 Maldon Road, Colchester, in advance of the construction of a rear extension (CBC planning application 152080). No significant archaeological horizons were identified. The garden had been extensively terraced in the recent past, probably during the construction of current property, with modern make-up layers sealing natural sand.<1>
