Description
A trial trench, 10m long x 1.80m wide, was excavated by Colchester Archaeological Trust in April 2016, in advance of the erection of a granny annex in the garden (CBC planning application 160356). The natural sand was defined at 0.55m bgl. One feature, interpreted as a tree throw, was defined.<1>
