Description
Colchester Archaeological Trust undertook a trial fluxgate gradiometer survey during October and November 1998 over an area of cropmarks, to test the suitability of the technique. A row of eight 20m x 20m squares were sampled. None of the features defined as cropmarks (linear features indicative of ditches) were defined and no further survey was undertaken. <1>
