Description
A trial-trenched evaluation was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in advance of the erection of new Lidl store, car parking and associated works, and following demolition of existing(CBC planning application 151781).<1>
No archaeological features or finds were identified and modern disturbance and truncation was recorded across the entire site.
A limited pre-determination trial-trenched evaluation was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in January 2013 (CAT report 682).<2>
