Description
A trial-trenched evaluation (a 2.5% sample) was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust of a large area, to assess the proposed northern extension to the Birch Pit. <1>
Initially, 24 trenches (each 1.85m wide) were excavated, most of which were 50m in length.
