Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust in advance of the construction of an extension to the rear of the property (CBC planning application 146253). No features or finds of archaeological significance were identified.<1>
The foundation trenches were dug through modern topsoil (L1, c.200mm thick), sealing an accumulation horizon (L2, c.300mm thick, undated), which sealed natural sand/gravel (L3).
