Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in advance of the construction of a car park on land adjacent to 34-38 Southway, Colchester (CBC planning application 151835). The footprint for the new car park was reduced by c.200-300mm through modern topsoil (L1). No archaeological features or finds were revealed (because the strip was too shallow). <1>
