Description

In 1892 alterations to a house belonging to Mr Locke (no 18 Queen Street) involved the removal of a large brick chimney-breast, which was found to have been built upon an ornamental mosaic pavement of considerable size, for it extended over much of the house. Parts of it were taken to the museum. <1><2>
