Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust during the groundworks for the construction of a single detached garage and cycle storage building at 54 Wellesley Road, Colchester (CBC planning application 145409). The footprint of the new garage and storage building (29.05m²) was reduced by c.450mm through modern topsoil (L1). No archaeological features or finds were revealed. <1>
