Description
A watching brief was undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust during the excavation of four engineering test pits prior to the construction of two houses. No archaeological remains were defined but observation conditions were less than ideal since the trench sides were smeared with sand and roots were abundant in the upper levels. The trench depths and unstable sides prevented section cleaning. <1>
