Description
An inspection was made of the footings trenches, after they had been excavated, for an extension to the house and garage. Th enorth edge of the footings had been cut 1m below modern garden level. Visible stratigraphy comprised 0.2m of topsoil over 0.8m of natural gravelly sand. The south edge cut through the modern paved patio and was 1.4m deep, similar to the stratigraphy to the north but with a layer of modern dump. No archaeological features were observed. <1>
