Description

A small exploratory trial trench was excavated by hand in the south-west corner of the garden (against the south wall) of Tymperleys House, Trinity Street. It revealed garden soil dumped against the wall, built (in its lower courses at least) of Tudor bricks dating to the 17th or 18th century. <1> This work was followed by a similar trial trench in 2000. <2>
