Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the groundworks for the construction of a new block of flats (CBC planning application F/COL/06/0031). Three post-medieval pits were idtnefified in section in July 2007 but no other archaeological remains were defined. <1>
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on this site in 2006 (in the rear garden of the property), revealing 0.8m-1.0m of post-medieval topsoil sealing three post-medieval pits (the largest of which may have been a quarry-pit). <2>
