Description
As part of the excavation season by the Colchester Archaeological Trust in 1999, it was required that the position of the ditches surrounding the Roman theatre at Gosbecks were determined.
The ditches to the north of the theatre were clearly identified. The line of the ditch splits into two at one point, which matches aerial photographic evidence of this feature. Also found was a track running NW-SW which should be investigated at a later date. <1><2>
