Description
An archaeological trial trench (6.2m long x 1.5m wide) was excavated in the car park of Greyfriars Community College. This work revealed modern topsoil and probable post-medieval or modern layers down to a depth of 1.5m. Natural ground was not reached and it was suspected that medieval and Roman deposits lay at a further depth than was reached during the investigation. <1>
