Description

A watching brief carried out by the Colchester Archaeological Trust to the rear of 35 North Hill, partly on the site of the demolished building 36a North Hill, Colchester. The work was necessitated by the construction of two detached blocks of flats (application no F/COL/00/0532). The building of 36a North Hill appears to have destroyed any Roman archaeological features on the site. The areas where archaeological features would be expected to survive were not built on.<1>
