Description
A watching brief was carried out on seven 1.2m deep test-pits which were dug by ground engineers in various locations at Colchester Garrison. No archaeological features were observed. A residual fragment of Roman brick was recovered from modern topsoil in woods adjoining Somme Road. <1>
