Description
Observations were made after the groundworks for an extension to the west side of 80 Lexden Road, Colchester. The size of the area excavated was 20m by 7m. Foundations were excavated to a width of 600mm and a depth of 1m. A further large hole - 2m wide, 2m long and 2m deep - was dug to the south of the site. No archaeological remains were observed.
