Description
As part of evaluation at 4 St Peter's Street environmental sampling was undertaken of a organic deposit lying on a Roman/Medieval mortar floor. Two bags of material were removed for plant macrofossil analysis. The deposit appeared to be Hay that subsequently became waterlogged through flooding.<1>
