Description
In March or April 2001 a 6th century Anglo-Saxon brooch was found on a building site behind the YMCA on Magdalen Street. The finder showed it to Richard Shackle at the local studies library who photocopied it. Found in sand with some Iron nails and assumed to be part of a grave. Sold to private collector. No further information.<1>
