Description
A watching brief was undertaken during pile capping at 22-24 High Street, in preparation for the new Superdrug store. Sections 7-12 were recorded, with section 7 producing a 13th century coin and canister. Three walls were identified, all undated but likely to be Medieval rather than Roman.<1>
