Description

A Tile tomb and another burial was found in a field belonging to Mr Wallace in Serpentine Walk. One grave group is listed as 'fragments of two cinerary urns, a buff water drinking bottle (flagon), two small paterae of grey ware, and two drinking cups of pinkish buff ware which had been painted a deep chocolate brown' COLEM1907.1463. The second burial involved 'fragments of a cinerary urn of brown ware with polished surface, showing traces of a black coating, with two slight beadings on the neck. Given by Mr Wallace COLEM1907.1465.<1>
